Scott McLaughlin
Scott founded McLaughlin & Associates in 2008 after having spent 20 years working at Praxair Surface Technologies (previously known as Union Carbide Coating Services). There he was National Sales Manager for the industrial coatings group and held several previous positions, including Account Manager, Field Sales Representative, Plant Quality Manager, Plant Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Process Engineer in locations from Kansas City, MO, and Alsip, Illinois, outside Chicago.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, IN, 1981
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of Louisiana for petroleum engineering 1986, now inactive
- MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management Chicago in 1997, graduated with distinction.
Out of college, he worked as a drilling engineer for Amoco Production Company, supervising deep-hole drilling projects in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. He was assigned to the Tuscaloosa district for Amoco, which drilled wildcat and produced high-pressure natural gas wells to 21,000' deep

Today, Scott resides on the north side of Indianapolis and is the father of two grown children, husband to Ellen, and grandpa to Harper.
When not working, Scott enjoys reading, especially biographies, Butler Men's Basketball, hikes in the woods, bicycling, and golf. His volunteer activities include serving on the Rose-Hulman Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board, volunteering for the Butler University Lacy School of Business, guest lecturer for Rose-Hulman's material science department, and mentor and career advisor to the Rose-Hulman Engineering Design department.

Ashley Eddelman
Ashley joined McLaughlin & Associates in December 2021 as Scott’s Office Manager. She has over seven years of experience in the thermal spray industry and over 14 years of experience in administrative roles. The key for her is communication. She is focused on sales growth, sustainability, marketing, customer service and all customer correspondence via phone and emails. Her goal is to alleviate any additional work on the client's end. From quoting, order entry and all the way through to when to expect your materials, supplies and/or equipment, Ashley can & wants to help!
Ashley is based out of Franklin, Indiana where she lives with her husband Rick and two youngest children, Ricky (14) and Charley (8). They have two grown girls, Laci (19), who is currently serving in the Navy. Kindre (21) who just recently made Ashley a proud grandma! In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, going fishing, and watching Ricky play football. She always looks forward to family vacations in Florida.
